Mikoyan Gurevich LIM 6 BIS (MiG-17F) Fresco C

History

PZL-WSK Milec, lim-6bis (MiG-17F) Fresco C built in Poland for the Polish Air Force. The only noticeable difference between a Russian MiG and this version is the addition of a Drag Chute housing at the base of the Vertical Fin. Additionally the instrument panel is lettered in both Russian and Polish.

The Quonset Air Museum’s MiG is one of 25 that was purchased by Dave Tallichet directly from the Polish Air Force and donated to the museum.

This is the first complete aircraft to be displayed at the museum.
