Grumman F-14 Tomcat
On Friday, January 25, 2002 at 2 PM sharp a crowd of several hundred aircraft buffs and invited guests witnessed the arrival of the Quonset Air Museum's long awaited F-14A Tomcat. The F14 completed several passes to the delight of the crowd before taxing to the QAM ramp.
Not just a standard Tomcat, but a "TOPGUN" aircraft from the Navy's training facility in Nevada. Piloted by Lt. Comd. Woody Hayes and Lt. Comd. Keith Kimmel in the back seat, the aircraft displayed the great flight capabilities of this legendary jet fighter.
The Quonset Air Museum wishes to thank Senator Jack Reed and Congressman James
Langevin for their tremendous efforts and Hasbro Inc. for their generosity.
